Our Makeup Brush Starter Kit

These are the essential brushes to start any makeup collection! Everyone needs brushes and these are the ones we could not live without! After going through many brands, high end and drug store, we came up with a short list of must haves. With only these 7 brushes, you can create any look you want!

#1. Sigma F30- Large Powder Brush

Softest brush ever! This huge powder brush is so versatile and can be used for any pressed, loose, or mineralized powder. With a large surface area you can distribute an even amount of product quickly and effortlessly across your face.

#2. Sigma F84- Angled Kabuki Brush

Once you go kabuki, you never go back! There are 5 of these MIRACLE brushes in the sigma kabuki collection and honestly, any of them would work. This one is our favorite because of the angle lets you get in to those tight areas around your eyes and nose. It is by far the densest brush we have ever owned and is our most highly recommended brush of all time. This gives a flawless almost photo-shopped finish to cream foundations and concealers. We can not say enough about this brush!! <3 <3 <3

#3. Real Techniques- Multitask brush

We love any real techniques brushes not only for their quality but for their price! This brush truely does it all. Used for blush, bronzer and highlighter, this super soft brush evenly spreads the smallest amount of product evenly on your cheeks :) And they are FINALLY available in Canada at your local Walmart!! (freaking love Walmart...) We also can not wait to try the powder brush and blush brush, but unfortunately they are not sold here yet... the day will come <3

#4. Mac 227- Large Shadow Brush

This is the easiest brush to use for all-over color and placing highlighter under the brow bone. This brush can be used for almost any eye look because it can really pack on the shadow or be used in the crease. If Bee could only have one eyeshadow brush, this would be it!

#5. Mac 239- Flat Shader Brush

Do we need to say anything more? This is the #1 raved about shader brush and has since become a cult beauty product for a reason! Everyone tries to dupe it and no one can. This brush packs on the color like nobodies business. A MUST HAVE for any beauty lover.  

#6. Mac 224- Dome Blending Brush

Whether it be applying a crease color or blending the whole eye look to a flawless finish, this brush is essential! It's super long and fluffy bristles blend any color effortlessly. 

For a duo-fiber alternative, Dee highly recommends the Mac 286 dome blending brush. ITS SO FLUFFY! And of course soft! By far, this is Dee's favorite eyeshadow brush!

#7. Mac 2 208- Angled Liner Brush

This brush does double duty as a liner brush as well as an eye brow brush. Bee uses it every day for her eye brows, and Dee uses it for a smudged out liner look. Very versatile and a must have!

To hold all your essential brushes, you can use any empty container around your house! Our favorite is an old bath and body works candle :)
